"For a typically Cuban dinner in beautiful surroundings, Restaurante Sol Y Son is tick‑box colonial: an ivy-clad courtyard, lilting fountain under moonlit sky and quietly attentive staff. The place oozes romance, with vintage furniture and gramophones and a fine menu. The lobster-stuffed plantains and pokey rum cocktails were a particular highlight."

"I went with a friend to this restaurant and had a lovely dinner. The service is great, the food is fantastic....not to mention the cocktails! It is located in an old house, in the patio, and has all the ingredients to spend a very romantic night: music, running water, candle lights...A must in Trinidad!"

We had the pleasure to experience Sol y Son's hotel and restaurant. Both services were amazing. The food was the best we've had in Trinidad. The menu offers a creative selection with lots of choice! The hotel was good too; the room spacious with good air conditioning. We cannot stress enough how friendly the staff was. And the interior decoration of the public areas are a must see! I'm so glad we stayed at Sol y Son in Trinidad; it really made our stay fantastic!
